Wouldn't it be cool if they made a John Frusciante signature guitar! His 62 strat would be cool.

I've thought that before. I don't know why they haven't.

Why does everyone who plays a Strat need a signature Strat? We use to mod our own and have our own signature tone. Go figure. How about a Jeff Healey Strat. I think he may have played Squire's though.

...Then why not just get a 62 reissue?

My point exactly. I'll never really understand the whole sig series thing. You can buy one but you will not automaticly play or sound like the person who's signature is on the guitar. It's made to the artists specs, not yours. get your own tots... eh I mean sound. It's more fun anyway.

Hello 62 Strat,

I wish those artist's had better handwriting.
Many of the signatures look like scribble.

Cheers.

the only time I can see getting a signature guitar is if it was one that was really different. like the John 5 tele, or the Jim Root tele. those guitars are way different than the standard guitars.

but yeah, why buy a reproduction of an artists guitar, if its just a standard guitar? unless John Fruciante has done something with his guitar that is unique, that I was previously unaware of.

One of the reasons people buy an artist series guitar is to acheive a certain aspect of an artists sound and then elaborate and tweak it to your own personal stlye or liking...not neccessarily to just sound like whoevers strat they have.
