no i don't much care for it, it makes the neck look incomplete to me like its been split, and about the warmoth necks: they don't have the fender logo on the headstock and i don't want the 22 fret extension

I think the stripes are awesome - they look especially good on the glossed necks, My fave combination being Skunk Stripe, tinted glossy neck and a rosewood FB. MMmmmmmmmmm.

And I find that no stripe looks better with the lighter tinted necks.. Personal preference though isn't it!

You don't have to get the fretboard extension. Just look at their Vintage Necks (I believe you can special order one without the skunk stripe). And also, only a Fender neck will have a Fender logo on it.

Why fake, if you can get a real one?

I hear this is a good place on ebay to buy guitar parts from.

- Make sure Fender is spelled correctly.

- Don't buy it from China. :?

Just kidding- it's always a tough proposition- ask the buyer what guitar it came from, why they replaced it, and the obvious feedback stuff. Good luck!
Don't forget, if you find a Warmouth or other aftermarket neck that you like, you can find Fender decals on ebay, too. Just a thought...

As Sandwich said, the stratosphere is a great place to buy from - I bought a 57 reissue neck from them and it arrived just 7 days later (I'm in the UK)

you would have to get a fender customshop neck, but you'd probably have to call the factory yourselve because they are sketchy about giving necks to shops because people would buy them and put them on strats that they have made and pass it off as a fender, when it really wasnt.
