Hi all....long time strat lover and owner here.......

After discovering this with an hour left to go, I spent a good few hours furiously searching the net trying to establish it's legitimacy, but in the end couldn't find anything conclusive.....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELECTRIC-GUIT ... fresh=true

I have to admit, the only reason I didn't buy it was because my finger slipped while I was typing a £200 bid...... :D

What d'ya think?

Welcome to the forum.

As far as the guitar goes, I wouldn't touch it with a 10', or in your case, a 3 meter pole.
No serial number.

Looks like a Squier Parts-o-caster to me.

Trust us -- you didn't miss a thing by not winning this auction.

I find the different bursts from front to back very interesting. I think that a couple of guitars have been used for the pictures.

It was only 20 miles from my house. I'd have loved to have gone up there to give it the once over.

It's worth checking out. Play it and consider buying it, but I wouldn't CS prices for it. Now we all could be wrong.

If the seller swares to his soul that it's ligit, then I would want to see a COA, case, case candy and take apart the guitar.

Take pictures of the following:
1. The neck joint and end of the neck.
2. Pickup cavity.
3. The back of the pickguard to look at the back of the pickups.
4. the order sheet if it's possible.
5. The tuning keys
6. Better picture of the headstock (front and back).
7. The wiring.
8. The neck plate.
9. The serial number.
*Please do not attach 50 photos of the front and back of the neck. At best only the 12th fret parkers.

Then send goto, "Ask Mike Eldred" in this lounge and ask him the same question with the pictures attached. If anyone can answer this question it's him. Mike is going to want to see detailed pictures.

It does look like a mix of Fender parts, but I really don't think it's a CS guitar. Good luck.

For a couple hundred, it might be a decent beater strat since its obviously fake.

Notice the title of the auction is "Electric Guitar", not "Fender Stratocaster". I think its not a Fender at all.

You might be right, Axeman.

And that's the seller's technique for avoiding any "imperial entanglements".

I doubt it's a Fender!
Sticker on headstock badly finished over, Patent remarks under Fender logo in the wrong place (I believe), Fender logo too far down at the edge, Custom Shop logo in the wrong place, headstock-sided end of fretboard wrong, .....

To me it's a parts-o-caster with non-genuine neck.
You didn't miss a thing on this one!

One thing for sure, that's not a CS Bridge and I don't think it's even a Fender USA bridge..!!

That thing is fake as hell. Not even worth $100. Look at the custom shop sticker, its a dead give away. Thing looks worse than a Paris special.

Are you still lurking about the place? I figured that maybe you were busy contemplating your navel. I was beginning to miss my stalker.

Listen, I'm sorry that someone peed in your corn flakes and now you have to show everyone what a lovable guy you are, but I'm here to help people. You are here too...

Just out of curiosity what guitars and/basses do you own? This is a serious question. I'm actually curious.
