Never knew they existed, but if you're spending $11,000 on it, I'd hope you know what your paying for first and make sure its the real deal!

you might want to post this in the Custom shop section there are already a couple threads going on there about the Buddy Holly MB 55.

They are pretty sweet looking guitars, but unless you are a Buddy Holly fan, I would just order or buy a CS 1955 Strat or any other of the '50s year specific CS Strats. They will be just as nice. Also the CS built some really great 50th Anniversary Strats, which are down to the screws clones of an actual 1954 Strat. You can pick these up used for less than $10K.

Here are some examples:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-FENDER-CUS ... 130edcThis is just my personal opinion. For me, unless there is something really different about a CS guitar or tribute guitar, I just don't see the point.

$11K ......... I have some magic beans for sale at half that price, same as those eaten by Buddy Holiday, when he toured. For additional authenticity they are in an original Heinz 57 tin (sea green). Caveat emptor eat 'em too quick and they are soon farted ...

11k is quite pricey but if you love it, it plays well for your particular style and you can afford it I say go for it. You only live once!
