I've had a Bonnie Raitt Signature series guitar for over 10 years. I absolutely love it. Bought it for the color - LOL! But love it because of the neck.

Wanted to get a backup guitar with the same neck. Something different than a strat would be cool but if I can find that neck I'd go strat again. Would love a tele with that neck. Any suggestions?

Not sure about the neck width, but any of the vintage reissues will give you the 7.25" radius. Avoid the 50's, they have "V" profile necks. Fender has never made a 7.5" radius, 7.25", 9.5", and 12". (Also a compound 9.5 to 16 on American Deluxe).

Thank you. It was difficult finding the specs for my BR signature series guitar. So I may not be positive about the fretboard radius. The fretboard radius is not the main thing I like about the neck - but it's part of it.

It's the 1 9/16" neck width that I am most concerned with. I played a Jim Adkins signature series tele yesterday - it has a 1 5/8" neck width and 9.5" radius. It was nice (something I could live with) but not quite the same feel as my strat.

The width difference is only a 16th of an inch. What you may perfer is a thicker neck, not a wider one. That makes a huge difference... Pick up a SRV Strat, Clapton Strat, and an American Standard. You'll notice the difference right away...

As far as I can tell, most fenders have 42mm necks and the only ones narrower are the squiers, which have 40.6 or there abouts.
But that's just from the specs on the website, but most of them in the shops are narrower.

I have a JA90 Tele. Did you plug it in? Those are some hot P90's. The fact that my Tele feels different than my Strat is something I like. I could be wrong, but I think 42mm is the widest nut Fender is using now. But I've found that a wider nut doesn't always translate into wider string spacing.

Thanks for all the input. Don't want to go Squire - I saw those have a skinnier nut width.

I did not plug in the JA90 - I am still leaning toward that one.

I know what you mean by liking the fact that it feels different. I've got a B.C. Rich Mockingbird that has a pretty large neck (don't know the specs) compared to my BR strat. I like playing it for something different but now I'm looking for something a little closer to my strat... and would like a semi-hollow body.

Thanks again!
