If you've a free account on a picture hosting website (Imageshack, Photobucket, Flickr), upload your photos within your personal profile.

Once the upload is finished, copy the IMG code. Then click on the Img box in the user control panel once or press CTRL+ALT+P. You'll be presented with two [img] tags, the second has a backslash which closes the first tag. Paste the IMG code between the tags.

I guess you've the early Sambora with the big stars, Floyd Rose trem, DiMarzio humbucker and switchable TBX/MDX circuits.

how ya going peeps today my guitar got finished and basicly i was trying to copy the guitar from the bon jovi music dvd live in london and i would love to show it off!
first off ill start by saying it was a mission, it certainly isnt a project for the faint hearted and i still had professionals doing most of the work it was very very costly (well it was to my income) the price for completetion of my baby was around a $1000.

** my guitar is not the real richie sambora guitar, all ive done is mimicked it, i am not ever going to sell this guitar, i did not make it for any financial gain, and it will never be palmed off as a real thing, i am a chronic richie sambora fan and love his work and guitars and i had to have one ( when i mean a massive fan i mean huge, who crys when richie plays the bed of roses solo at his concert? his music hits me on emotional levels.) and i surely was not paying $3000-5000 when this thing sounds just as good.***

the neck to richie samboras necks are no longer made, companys offer stars with a slight difference but at the end of the day they arent the same. i am lucky to be a compulsive ebay deal searcher and i found the neck to it for $150. i was disappointed when it come in the mail as its "not the real thing" its very similar but i know its not, but hey what can i expect for $150... i guess.

its got an original floyd rose slapped in there, its currently set as a floating trem but i may add a block may not.

i learnt quickly in richies guitar he has texas specials and a dimarzio paf pro, i heard a paf pro and a seymour duncan jb sh-4 and the sh-4 was better in my opinion so i put that in there instead. all wiring is proper parts e.g. fender switch, cts pots, texas specials, duncan jb sh-4, fender wire wiring it all up and a 0.47 capacitor also before i forget.

i paid retail for alot of the electronics just for the duncan humbucker it was $179.99 and the texas specials were $250, what a jip ay? didnt learn until a month after i bought them.

i found the body on ebay also, it is basswood im pretty sure but still sounds great, it came with the paint and just with pictures over the internet i think i got pretty close to his colour not quite mines a bit darker around the edges but still similar.

even though everythings not exactly exactly the same people still know its the live in london guitar and thats what i was after.

what do you guys reckon of my own custom sambora strat?

Yes this is the cherryburst model with the big stars, though I can't see the active/passive push-push switch. Richie's own guitar has the mid-boost, it really fattens things a lot when fat, punchy humbucking crunch is required.

Thanks for the help with the picture, Im still working out these forums.
That has kind of shattered me I did not know he had a push pull switch? Im gonna have to wire one in, you say they make the sound fatter when u want the crunchy tone? my knowledge on push pull switches is fairly amateur.

It's a push-push, not push-pull, you idiot!

Look at the picture, you'll see that button between the TBX and Mid Boost pots!

This active/passive switch turns off the "Elite" preamp.

Nice Strat Sambora Fan.
Not too sure whether the push/pull was always a feature on Ritchies guitars. It's not like Fender to miss something so obvious.

Oh and ignore ChromeFace calling you an idiot. Theres a bit of speculation as to whether he even owns a guitar.

Welcome to the forums.

Prior to his own signature axe Richie played HRR 50's and 60's Strats, one of which became the basis for an Artist Signature model in 1991.

The Sambora Strat was essentially a USA-made HRR 50's with switchable active electronics, TX Special pickups and graduated star fretboard inlays.

Whoah, im an idiot? Sorry for the typo you half witt moron obviously your a few cans short of a 6 pack. My bet is your a richie fan and your gutted to see other people have similar guitars as his.
I meant push-push switch but typed it wrong no reason to bring out the insults.
Do you even own a guitar, probly some bloke who just compulsively reads and posts on forums picked up a few bits of info and now you think your some god.
Keep your advice I dont want it.

Hi there, thankyou for the comment and welcoming me to the forums! Its not to much of a hassel I guess about the switch i can always wire one in. I am going to be uploading a video on youtube of me playing it in the next day or so if you would be interested in the link?

Haha about the bloke calling me an idiot as well it was a simple typo mistake, its funny you should say "he might not even own a guitar" I just askes him does he even own one.

Hi.

Don't be too hard on ChromeFace, he means well and (I could be wrong on this) I don't think English is his first language. He is often a good source of information - just takes some getting used to.

The midboost in the Sambora Strat is basically the same circuit as found in Clapton Strats...and the good news is that you can get one and retro-fit it to your guitar.

You might find this page useful: http://www.fender.com/en-GB/support/art ... e-diagrams as you should be able to download the wiring diagram for the Sambora model you're looking at.

Anyway, your guitar looks great!!
