I am getting a very noticeable warble when I play the G string using the humbucker with high gain at the 8 through 15th fret on my new American Special HSS Strat. It is not as noticeable when I play clean. I’ve lowered the pickups and the neck and string height have been adjusted to match the specs on the Fender site. Others are experiencing this same issue with other guitars. See the link below. Any thoughts of how to fix?

Lower the pickup a little or lower the individual pole for the humbucker....

See if lowering the pickups even more stops the warble. It could be any of pickups, so try one at a time.

+1 more .... maybe raise the string height 0.5 mm at a time as a test before you mess around with pickup heights - when the warbling subsides, lower the pickup poles by the same amount.

Are you using Ernie Ball stainless steels? I swore by them gigging outside in Florida because of the high humidity (never rusted unlike every other brand), but I had raise the bridge nearly 2 mm to stop the wow/flutter affect.

All pickups have been lowered to about 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the pickguard. I also raised the G string. Still got the warble.

Hang on, Humbuckers don't have the same magnetic pull direction as a singlecoil pickup. The polarity of a humbucker is north/south across the pickup. Not north/south through the pickup.
So that pickup is not pulling on the string, is it?

It's far more likely that if the guitar is HSS configuration that the neck pickup is pulling the string.
The way round it is to lower the middle pickup right down, out of the way. Then set the neck pickup to where the warble doesn't happen. Because the neck pickup pulls the string more than any other because of where it is.
Then set your middle pickup to match the volume of the neck pickup.
Finally set your humbucker to match up to those singlecoils.

A difficult task, better to opt for a bit of a volume increase when the humbucker is engaged.

Change the string.

Cheers,

Keep note of how hight the pickups are now. Lower all of them down so they are almost flush with the pickguard. If that does not correct your issue, your "warble" may be from a bad string, poorly cut saddle, or the string slighty fretting out....

If that does the trick, then slowly raise each pickup while listening for the warble....
