got the final coat of primer on yesterday , so all in 4 coats of sanding sealer , with a wee sand between coats , 1 build up coat of primer then a good sand down , then another coat of primer , still to get it sanded down then onto the colour and clear , cheers

Only one coat of color?
and one coat of clear (gloss)?
I am impressed.

What did you use to spray with?
Also, were all of the materials: primer, color paint and clear,
were they all "oil based" products?

hi topscore , the paint came in aerosol spray cans , so cover what you can with what you got :lol: it'll probably get 2 coats of colour and 2 of clear then sanded and buffed after a month or so and yes the paints are all nitro cellulose , cheers

hi , yesterday i managed to get the coulour and clear coat onto the body , it was nice up here , i saw wales on the telly (my favourite place to go on holiday by the way ) pretty crap weather , i hope the weathe rbrightens for you guys in cymru , heres a pic , as you can see the clear coat dicided to drop a few blobs , but they'll be under the scratch plat and they will be sanded and buffed out anyway , Image
