Hey Alan! Sorry, I don't have any finishing advice but I saw that you're in Scotland. I'm a Ross as you can see and I always wanted to come over. Probably will never make it though. Maybe after I get that big hit song. Anyway, just wanted to say hey. Mark.

Alan,
Does the "A" on the back of the neck indicate the nut width?

It was not necessarily temperature that I had problems with, more draughts that cause blooming. I sprayed an MGB in really cold temp resolved to polish any problems out. Got a great finish from the gun so just waxed on top for protection.

Clean the air.
Get a room purifier.
Get an air conditioner.
Keep dust out.
Purchase quick dry paint/gloss.

Alan,
Does the "A" on the back of the neck indicate the nut width?.....Quote

I believe the A on the back of the neck pocket stands for the grade of maple the neck is made of.
Grade A would be the common run of the mill, AA a better cut of Maple as well as grain figuring, AAA is where Bird's Eye and Flame Maple would be considered.....

hi , topscore , the thing with nitro is it's far from fast drying  and it's highly toxic , so i'll be waiting till it's a bit warmer and doing it outside 8) i have a nice wee sheltered bit in the garden , thats prefect for spraying , i sprayed a load of engine parts a few years ago for my old saab 900t16s with no problems , cheers
Alan

Yes. I have sprayed things before. Some times dust gets clingy.
But, extra fine sandpaper will rub it out. Good luck. Toppscore :)

BTW ~ what kind of drying time are you needing between coats?
