I went to go look at this guitar after seeing it locally on Craigslist. It was in great shape and had all original paperwork and more importantly "sounded" right. It is the model 10-7500-7. I guess the "7" refers to the Blue Burst color?
In any case, the guitar screams quality. The only question I had was I read that it is supposed to have a detent at the 5 position for the tbx circuit and it does not. I asked the owner, who says he is the original and he has no idea. He has not played it in years.
Any suggestions?
The price is right, about what a used American Standard is going for.

Posting a couple of photos might be helpful.

On the other side, I suggest you asking Xhefri and John C for further detailed information.

If it's a 1991 model, then it should have a white pearloid pickguard and a Mini Floyd Rose bridge.

Sorry Chrome but you're off by a few years on that - 1993 was the change to pearloid pickguards, LSR nuts, and the Fender/Floyd, not 1991.

In 1991 the Ultra had a chromed Wilkinson nut and chromed saddles on the Deluxe trem (with pop-in arm).

Not all Ultras had the Deluxe pop-in bridges. Some were shipped with regular American screw-in type units and white dots on their fretboards. They also have a Silver Sensor in the middle instead of a Gold.

As old as that guitar is, its possible the indent has worn away. Besides, replacement pots are a $5 part...

Relief. The detent is there, just very subtle, you have to press down slightly to feel it. Also, not an Ultra, it is a plus. In really great shape as well. Plastic still on the pickguard and backplate. I love this guitar and am glad  I waited for the right one. Now I want more!

Righto John C. +1
