Hi,

What is the difference between Standard MIM 2009 and 2011 model? I just happen to like the White Chrome Pearl colour which is only available for the older models. Any significant changes? Electronics? Materials?

Thanks,

celerity

White Chrome Pearl and Copper Burst Metallic were available for a limited time in 2010. These finishes were retired as of 2011.

I see, thanks guys!

I haven't really seen White Chrome Pearl IRL, but it looks really good on the photos!

high-mass bridge block, tinted neck, shielded body cavities, medium jumbo frets

i believe 2009 has a smaller bridge block. 2010 and above has a largerbrige block and the cavity is routed larger for it. also the pickup cavities are painted with a copper laced paint to shield the cavities. and went to mrdium jumbo frets
you could take off your pic guard to confim it. to see if it was sheilded or not

Very interesting, thank you! I think 2009 has medium frets also (I can't find any official information though). Are there any advantages with a larger bridge block?

I believe the upgrades (better block etc) happened in 2006.
