I have a Standard Roland Ready Stratocaster and I have been having trouble registering online. I have made attempts to register the guitar using the serial number on the neck but It doesn't work.

Why should people e-mail you instead of responding right here?

Oh. "Registering" your guitar is totally unnecessarry. All you need is your original receipt for warranty claims.

Fender's registration and warranty are just marketing scams. They just want you to register so they can use it for demographics. I have guitars I have owned for over 35 years. Some anal retentive types might have receipts that long but move a couple of times and you can lose them very easily and Fender then skates on their warranty obligation to you. They do this because the repairs could cost more than you paid 20 or 30 years ago. They know what they are doing.

Sounding a little bitter are we? Did you lose your receipt and then couldn't collect on a claim? No one to blame but yourself. Oh, and keeping receipts in a safe place for expensive items like guitars amps, etc. does not make one "anal retentive".

Bluesky636, no I'm not bitter at all. In fact I'm rather anal retentive myself and have receipts for just about everything I have ever bought including things I no longer even own anymore. I had warranty work done on a Martin guitar I own and they never asked for my sales slip. They did however send a invoice for the work to show what it would have cost had I had to pay for it and it was more than I originally paid for the guitar! That is why they stopped lifetime warranties for a time. I'll bet if you took your vehicle in for warranty work and they asked for your sales receipt you would be upset at that, I know I would. Peace bro :) .

Actually, I have provided my car sales receipt as documentation for warranty work. We bought a dealer demo which was sold to us as a new car and said so on the sales contract. The car had nothing but problems and the dealer tried to claim that because the car was a demo, the warranty period started when they took possession of the car (which was a year before we did) and not when we bought the car. My attorney said BS, I sent the owner of the company a letter with a copy of the sales receipt and a week later got a letter of apology from him and all required work was completed under warranty. We dumped the car a few months later.
