Hi i'm Diego from chile, and it is my first post here... i've just arrived searching information about a fender stratocaster deluxe lonestar and roadhouse and comparison between them, but nothing helps to me... so i've thought ask for a recomendation more personalized... my english is improvised so if you read something strange that wasn't my intention say that.
actually i have a fender strat HSS MIM standar artic white colour maple neck, 0.11 elixir strings, i love it but with my band we've decided to play some glam rock (something like ratt, deff leppard, etc)... but my strato has a "funk/blues" tone... so sometimes i want some more of gain in the bridge position... please i don't want to change pickups, so don't tell me that. days ago i talked with a luthier who makes guitars... he told me that a change of pickups just would accentuate my guitar tone... in fact i think so.

So finally, i've decided to change my guitar, and i was looking for a lonestar, but i've readed in many sites that maybe roadhouse is a better choice because has a better construction than a lonestar.... i don't want to leave the stratocasters guitar, so i need to know if any of this 2 guitars can be upgraded to play metal, glam rock or something like the 80' music... without left a stratocaster sound... just want some more versality...no change all...

PD: did you understand my writing?... xD i've just learned some english by myself... so i think that sometimes I write things that has no sense! xD... i hope you can help me guys

Hello Diego. Welcome to the forum, and I'm new here too.

I haven't played the Lonestar, but I just bought the Roadhouse in Artic White, and am in LOVE with it! It has that cool clean Strat sound like the American Standard I had did, but has some grit to it.

hi dude... do you have some video or an audio sample to listen?... what kind of music do you play?

In my opinion, if you think that the hss is not enough to play the kind of rock you want, then switch to a blacktop strat HH and split the pickups with a switch for more options....that's my opinion because I have a 2004 hss and I'm in love. oh and you could change the pickups and it does give you more beef if that's what you're looking for.
