I should have mentioned that the neck is thinner than my previous American Standard... I actually prefer a thinner neck (reminds me of my Epiphone 335 Dots that I've had in the past). I put on heavier strings (10-52), set the intonation, and only minor truss-rod adjustment was required.

Of course the neck (thickness and shape... i.e. "C" vs. "V", ...etc.) is such a personal preference, I can only speak for myself.

I absolutely love mine. I have a US Standard SSS and US Standard HSS to go along with it, and while I hate to admit it, I love the variety of warm tones I can get out of the HSH the best. Unlike the previous poster too, I really enjoy the 2 and 4 positions and the way Fender has balanced these between the single coil and humbuckers, it's really amazing to me and fits my style perfectly. On the other hand, my HSS doesn't balance nearly as nicely in position 4.

I absolutely LOVE this guitar (the amber stained one).
They are a limited batch of 150, Guitar Center release only. These Strats would normally be 1200+ but since they're a GC release only, they're $999.99+tax.

I saw an amazing review on them....but I lost the link.
Anyhow, they come in sorts of different models. They made a ton in wine red, but only limited batches of 150 each in amber stained....
Strats come with maple/rosewood....SSS/HSH....
Not sure of the Tele....

There are only 20+ amber stained strats left for sale in the world....they've ben available for only two weeks and they've flown off the shelf.....I got one.....
