Hi Guys,

Ive just replaced the height adjustment screws on one of my strats but noticed the fender ones were different lengths on a few of them....on my new ones they are the same length..any reason why fender makes a few taller??

P.S. Its the little grub screws on the saddles...in case ive got the terminology wrong lol

The different length screws are for the different saddles on your bridge. The longest are the two middle or D and G the shortest are for the E strings. when adjusting the height you want to follow the curve or crown of the fret board. I would say the after market are all one height to make it simple. But, you may find that the screws poke up and make resting your palm on the bridge uncomfortable. If I were you, I would shorten them to match the originals with a grinder making sure you round or bevel the end that will be touching the bridge plate.

Brill thanks for that! so there would be no problem in using screws all of the same height? as long as i adjust the action to follow the curve of the fretboard?
