Hi. I am interested in buying a Strat with which I could get similar tones as to Gilmour's, however the budget is a limit. I'd prefer not to go over 700€ or 1000$.
At first I was considering a HSS Strat, but seeing how having a humbucker affects the volume of guitar's output and the hum guitar's giving away on the same amp settings, that's probably not the best idea. Even though they are more versatile when it comes to sound, but seeing how I also have a HH Gibson Les Paul studio, there shouldn't be a problem with the more crunchy tones (although it's true I can't really switch the guitars mid-song  )

Could anyone give me some pointers as to which guitars should I try out first?

Help is much appreciated :)
