Hey, I recently found that when I go to push the S-1 switching system on my guitar, the button will not stay in. It worked fine before. Just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.

Hey, welcome.

I hate to tell you this but the S-1 switches are most fragile. The problem you have is shared by hundreds of thousands of other players who have instruments with this switch. There is a small rod inside it which due to its design frailties, is prone to snapping. It would be easier to pick fly crap off the head of a pin with boxing gloves than to outright find the replacement rod or fabricate one and then attempt to take the switch apart in an effort to replace the rod. In other words, your whole S-1 unit has to be replaced where you may or may not encounter the same problem again (and again).

I've had first hand experience with this and I opted to replace the pot with a standard volume pot (done by a warranty shop). Also had the bridge pickup wired to the 2nd tone knob.

I haven't missed the S-1 switch a bit.
