a hundred bucks??? yikes!!!! tuners have gotten soooo cheap nowadays, and they all work pretty well. unless you need ultra-pro qaulity, or your tuning something crazy, you should find a slew of them for 15 bucks

Hello Music.lover06,

I presently use a $15 Korg CA-30 chromatic,
and it's a great tuner but the old eyes need a little
help with it so soon I'll be getting the $45 Korg DT-4
chromatic tuner.

Chromatic tuners can be used to tune any instrument.

Cheers.

If you have a computer (lappy even better), I highly recomment the Strobosoft from Peterson... about $80.00

I actually use a $20.00(can't remeber which one it is I'm not at home) Korg as well and I love it. And if you are one of those people who like to tune down it will let you tune down 5 steps. Great for someone like me who loves to experiment with differnt tunings. Also if you know you are not too far off the right note then you really don't need the meter just the bright green light in the middle and the 2 red lights on the side to let you know if you are sharpe or flat.

I'm using a Fender LX-12 and it works just fine. I've also got a strobe tuner that's actually harder to use than the LX-12.

My Roland practice amp has a built in tuner that works pretty well :).

Also have a tuning fork, but getting too deaf to hear it anymore (Dang the amps that go to 11)
May have to breakdown and invest in a portable electronic one :)

If your budget is up to $100, I'd suggest trying the Boss TU-12.

I started with some more inexpensive tuners that did fine for a time, but I needed something better for when I was playing with others. I ended up buying a Boss TU-12 for about $100. I found it to be the most accurate of all my tuners. Also...it's great for gigging. It has bright LED to show whether you're high or low, while tuning. It has a rugged metal case (as do all Boss pedals)

Also.....one of the better features, is that it has a built in power supply for any effects pedals that you might want to use. Buy an inexpensive "daisy chain" and you can power up to about 8 pedals to save life on the 9 volt batteries that most pedals run on. The daisy chain runs off of the tuner. The tuner has an AC adapter input plug to allow an AC adapter to be plugged in.

I thought $100 was a big pricey, but after having it for about a year, I wouldn't use any other tuner. Great for gigging and playing with other people.

I'm perfectly happy with my Fender PT100. Works just fine. Gotta be loyal to my boys. I like the big digital display. Perfect for my aging eyes.
