Thanks for all of the great feedback! Certainly there is a diversity of opinions, and of course it depends on everyone's individual tastes.

Personally, I tend to agree with torresfan and the point that, how many guitars do you really need? Why not just one nice guitar that you like in the styles of guitar you like most, i.e. one nice Strat, Tele, Les Paul, etc. I'm just having a hard time convincing myself to sell-off the variety of MIMs for a MIA Strat. (I love you, I don't love you, I love, I don't love you, etc...)

I like having the variety with the 3 MIMs, and I do play them all, but I'm also a "minimalist" in a sence and don't want to have a bunch of guitars hanging around the house, not to mention the budget. And I know that the MIA is superior to the MIM for a number of attributes.

OK, so I'm leaning towards keeping keeping one MIM that I like most, and buying one American Standard. I know most of you probably don't care since it's my deal anyway, and that's ok..

I started this post partly to get feedback and opions on an honest subject for me, and party just to start a conversation... Thanks again for the posts!

I'd keep the Mexistrats you already have unless you don't have room for all of them. It's nice to have different tonal options. And the HSS is the most versatile guitar ever made.

I would eyeball your local Craigslist and see if folks are posting theirs for sale. Here in TN a MIA Strat tends to start around $550 and go up from there. I bought a MIM for $250 in mint condition. You could see about trading 2 for 1 or posting all yours up there and say your would mix trade and cash for a MIA. Where there's a will there's a way. I'm just concerned that it's more about the collecting. If I were you and like what you have, stop where you are and play 3x more.
