Does anyone know if this new guitar will have coil splitting capabilities?

There is no HSH listed on the product page. There is an HSS though, and there is a pre-wired position that splits the HB, so it could be reconfigured for various coil splitting settings. Do you have some news of an HSH Am Std?

You can't miss this one. When you first go to fender.com it fills up your screen.
This really does look awesome, yes?

Yeah, I wish they'd release a little more info about the guitar. It would seem a waste if they didn't have a coil splitting function on it, I think. There was a video on You Tube about the FSR version of this guitar, but now I can't find it.

This guitar is the very first American-made HSH Strat produced since the Dave Murray signature model came into surface a couple of years ago.

The stained ash body is just gorgeous. :P

Now I'm GASsing for an American Deluxe with HHH pickups, Fender Deluxe Locking tremolo, Passing Lane button and S-1 switching!

Position 1. Bridge Pickup
Position 2. Bridge and Middle Pickup
Position 3. Middle Pickup
Position 4. Middle and Neck Pickup
Position 5. Neck Pickup

You can mod this guitar with an S1 switch if you want more tonal flexibility and add Eric Clapton active electronics to give the humbuckers some serious attitude (note: replace the middle-position Delta-Tone pickup with a Super 55 Split-Coil if you want to avoid noise issues - since the Super 55 is a stacked humbucker it transforms your guitar into an HHH monster!).

Nice guitars, I like the brown one. Funny they go back to ash wood, stained means unfinished?

Cheers,
Robin

Put two nickel humbucker rings "Et Voila" :)

Street price will probably be about 1100.00 or 1200.00, correct? I can't see spending more money on a feature that should have been standard. :(
