Hi, I wanted to know if anyone out there has used or will use a stetsbar tremolo system.I am wanting to see if it can work on one of my hardtail guitars and want to see if it can work.I emailed Eric Stets and he told me that it could work on any hardtail but made a reference about the screws not lining up and my strat looks like every other hardtail on the market.Any insight here welcomed thanks!

The hard tails used by Fender resemble the hard tails used in the industry by its looks only. The difference I have found is that the Fender uses 3 screws to fasten down and the commonly used hard tail uses 5 screws to fasten. The Stetsbar hard tail matches the 5 screw pattern not the Fender 3 screw. The reason is the inner bearing tracks lie over the Fender screw location making the exact fit for screws not possible. No you may have the 5 screw mounting plate. You can tell if there are 2 of 5 screws on the corners nearest the pickup.

yes, thanks for your post I did some reasearching and found the same conclusion. The website obviously is kind of wrong and unhelpful.I even got another email from eric stets and apparently even he, whom I thought would want me to buy his product was unhelpful.I have the three screws tremolo and I noticed the five screws have the two holes next to the pickguard. So, I couldnt fit his tremolo even if I drilled because it looks as if Id dig in to the prior holes. So in conclusion, is there a tremolo out there for me for my fender usa bullet??? My main guitar is an 1983 model which I love everything about it except the trem arm is a $@!&* to take off. Also, Im afraid if I leave my guitar alone while Im in a studio or playing a gig someone would steal it.Call me paranoid, but it's irreplacable and people would want it becasue they would put it on ebay.So I am tired of taking it everywhere all the time with me.
