Thanks for your help. I just resently bought a new american strat and am looking for help to get the sounds out of it like pink floyd's comfortably numb solo.Doi need to get a special pedal or is it in the amp itself? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks
Brian

The "Numb" preset on the Digitech GNX3000 does it all.

A strat, a decent distortion like a big muff and a good delay/echo pedal and you're right in there for Dave's solo tone altho' as Alan says, everything's relative, have you seen Dave's pedalboard? For C Numb tho' that will get you in the ballpark.

How about one of these? This should get the sound you're looking for.

Anyone buy from this company?

Here is a sample that sounds Gilmorish. I am using a Strat Ultra, Boss ME50 with echo, Rat distortion, and a little reverb, Fender Bassman 10 amp. The solo is 1:30 into the tune. Keyboard, Bass, Drums, and guitar.
