I am about to put my Strat up for sale - times must - but i like to price things realistically and therein lies my problem. I am finding it very hard to find a comparable guitar to get an idea of value.

It is a Fender Japan '62 Reissue, (Model No 027-1000) in Seafoam Green with Rosewood board from 1996/7 - V serial number.
It has the staggered pole pickups, fender stamped saddles making it a proper reissue rather than the 'economy' range that were exported.

If anyone can offer any guidance on value I would be most grateful.

i would either do a google search to see what's out there and the asking price for them,
or check ebay and see what they have to say..
i think the 80's models will go for a bit more as the quality varies from the different plants they were made at.

I also have read that Japanese Strats have a great quality and are reputable so if I had one to sell it would probably sell for $500-$600 depending on cosmetics and sound!
