One guy is selling his strat that is 1991 strat, sunburst, rosewood, serial N1004670, it has brass nut, 2 string trees, 2-point pivot tremolo and 3 pickups are HS-3. The guitar sound great, but as much i am a sound guy rather then visual, that sunburst is.... i don't know...not my thing... also i would rather get maple fretboard, all guitars that i have/had vere rosewood... But i can survive the colors. The biggest factor here is... is it better to invest to that guitar for example, the price would be about 800-1000 euros (new 70's mim here is about 850 euro new, Am strat is 1000+ euro) or go mim standard and upgrade it?

p.s. I live in Serbia (former big Yugoslavia)

I would keep looking until I found something I liked.

Hey, haven't you guys ever heard of paint. Take those strats apart, sand down the bodies and get you some automotive paint in the spray can and your all set. You can find the stuff at NAPA for around 20 bucks, they can even mix the color you want.

If you know what your doing you can even do a real nice burst.

If your the type that likes relics, then use cheap spray paint, it'll wear off alot faster and believe it or not look pretty authentic.

No offense to anybody, but I can't stand people that get rid of their guitar for another one of a different color. That is, unless your a collector.

Or just send it to your local artist, make him work out a design and have a unique fender!

Greetings from the U.S.

Over the passed 25+ years of playing there's one thing that I have learned: Don't settle.

1. I've made the mistake of selling guitars that I loved and regretted.
2. I've rushed into guying guitars that I ended up hating and wondering why I ever bought the thing in the 1st place.
3. I will play a lot guitars, even the same model until I find THE one I'm looking for.

Once while I was out and about going to different music stores looking for a 50th Anniversary Strat I played three or four that I didn't like until I found the one I loved.

One time I was looking for a '62 reissue Tele and was about to buy it when my girlfriend at the time convinced me to buy a different Tele because she was willing to put in some money on what I thought would be a better guiter. I hated that guitar.

Don't regret what you do. Figure out what you want and get that.
When you play a guitar you should feel like, "This is awesome." If I can't connect with the guitar I end up never playing it and then I sell it.

By the way I have two Gibsons for Sale.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

Paris

The guitar chooses the player. It may not even be what you're looking for. I was thinking about the MX models Jimmie Vaughn and Deluxe Players and the Korean or something Special Edition Ash, all for about $500 or less. I was also checking out everything I could find including a hotrod 57 and a Beck and a Clapton and a Custom Pro. Those were really, really awesome but too expensive. Looked at the American Deluxe, the American Standard. Everything. The Wine Transparent and Rosewood Highway One I got just crossed our path and it was right in every way and on sale. It's right when it's right.

It's better to wait for a guitar who will be at your taste.
