wyoming, lucky is a correct word for it.
lucky it was a strat and not a gibson les paul.
not dogging on gibs, i have one and love it, but the neck better yet headstock would have suffered in transit with that kind of bend. :shock:

Nice guitar! My Blacktop Strat with Floyd Rose arrived yesterday! I go it in the Titanium Silver. Fantastic guitar I love it!

Just out of interest: how different is the bridge position sound of a blacktop, from the bridge position sound of an HSS?

Depends on the HSS. The Fender Standard HSS is less bright than the Blacktop. The American Standard HSS has bit more midrange than the Blacktop. At least this has been my observation.

The Blacktop humbuckers are hot. Very good for more modern music. The humbuckers also deliver a fatter tone than the single coils in more traditional Strats. In my opinion the pickups are better than the Fender FR Stratocaster.

I found the pickups on the Blacktop a bit too hot, so I changed them out for some more traditional pickups. I bought this guitar with the sole purpose to modify it to my specific specifications. I chose Seymore Duncan's. I have a Pearly gates neck pickup in the neck, a Vintage Stack Tele neck in the middle position, and a JB in the bridge.
