I'm planning on changing my "Fender 57 Reissue Stratocaster Made In Japan Since 1993" 's original pickup to something that has:
- More dynamic, more punchy, fatter and fuller solid tone.
- Medium output, not too low that it sounds a bit lifeless and not too high that it starts to hurt my ears.
- For more versatile style of music from playing clean blues, funk, jazz, to rock with overdrive/distortion.
- Hum canceling / noiseless (single coil sized humbuckers).
- Should still sound like a strat if you know what I mean.

At the moment, I'm looking at the Seymour Duncan pickup set that's called "Everything Axe" which included in the set are a JB Jr. for the bridge with Duckbucker in the middle, and a Little '59 for the neck. What do you guys think? Anyone who used this set or one of these pickup before and got some reviews / comments on it?

BTW. What's a reliable online site that sell pickup at a good price and ship internationally? Is Musician's Friend a good one?

Look into David Allen pickups. http://www.dallenpickups.com/ There are a lot of youtube videos on these. The 69 VooDoos sound amazing.

I've tried them. The JB Jr isn't bad although it is a bit raspy. Meaning, it has a higher end grit to it with marginal bass;. certainly, no 'sweetness' is to be had from it where people either love or hate this pickup. The Little 59 is a bit on the muddy side but it does a good job of making a Fender guitar sound like a thinner bodied Gibson guitar with full sized HBs. Lastly, the Duckbucker is a VERY weak pickup in comparison to the other two. Ironically, it still sounds like a Strat but it is of much lower output than even an OEM Strat pickup.

Musician's Friend appears to be reliable.

As always, the above is merely IMO where YMMV.

hi , seeing as your just starting out , i would leave the pup changing for now and concentrate on your playing , once you advance buy a decent tube amp , you will be surprised by the sound , and in the meantime , buy an overdrive pedal to fill out your sound , if that can be done with a cube , just my thoughts , cheers

+1 on this one!

I recommend "The Rat" or "Dirty Rat".
Makes it easier for beginners to get a smokin' hot crunch/distortion tone!
You have great pickups, so it must be either a not perfect equipment (amp, cables) or simply too few experience to get the tone formed with your fingers or use the amp settings right (no pun intended, we all were beginners some day in the past!).

Honestly<, it took me a long time to be able to tune in good sound. In the beginning, even good guitars sounded bad when I played them. It takes time and practice. Until then, I'd make it easier to myself by using a good pedal, instead of busting the value of my guitar by changing pups 'n' stuff.

Unless you can afford a decent amp, I recommend the two rats by fulltone.

Even I use the dirty rat. It's not just for beginners, it's simply SMOKIN' HOT!!!
One of the best non-tube distortion pedals out there! I've been playing for 25+ years.
