Saw an add in Vintage Guitar magazine for Mojotone.com's new "Brown Series" and "Black Series" Strat pickups designed by Lee Dickson.

I'm sure most posters here know who Lee is but for those who don't, he was Clapton's personal guitar tech for about 30 years. The advertisement says the "Brown Series" is Lee's idea of a mid-50's Strat pickup and the "Black Series" is Lee's interpretation of an iconic Strat sound. This seems, to me at least, obviously Dickson's attempt at recreating the pickups from "Brownie" and "Blackie", Clapton's iconic late '50's Strats. I looked at Mojotone.com and they didn't have the "Black Series" listed yet but the "Brown Series" were priced at $75 per pickup.

Has anybody read anything more about these pickups, or better yet, has anybody played them? Would love to know more about them if anybody could point me in the direction of a review or something.

Pretty cool stuff! They also sell Rene Martinez's line of pickups as well.
