I'm ready to change strings. does this guit come with standard, locking or vintage tuning keys? doesn't say in specs.

The EC model comes with vintage Kluson-style tuners made for Fender by Gotoh.

ball ends are fine

Fender recommends Bullet end strings for tremolo use. Since the Clapton Strat's trem is blocked (unless you unblocked it), their use is unnecessary. Some people prefer them in anycase (I am one of those people).
