Which do you think would be a better option to work on that 'Pulse' sound? (Other than having DG in my house).

I could take the AVRI 57 and add in the DG20 pickups. Anything else?

Or, go with the HR 57. I haven't tried the SCN's. Would they be good, or would they also have to be swapped out for the DG20's?

I guess if I'd be swapping out pickups on both, it'll come down to neck preference.

Alot will have to due with which one you like the feel of, myself I prefer the AVHR 57, which also pup wise works for most of Gilmours music. It has a hotter bridge pup in it. I also built up a CAR Strat with the DG-20 setup in it.
Check out www.gilmourish.com it has a section for set up to get some of the Pulse Tones with different pups. Good luck on your quest.

Thanks Newwt. I've checked out Gilmourish.com. He does suggest the AVRI 57 wi the DG20's, but doesn't discuss the HR57 at all.

You like the pups on the HR57? People seem to like the feel of the HR57, but I haven't found one to try yet.

The HR 57 has got to have the most comfotable neck I've ever played, so much so i'm looking for another neck for my Strat with the DG-20 setup. If you can't find one to play and you make the move on a HR 57, you won't be disappointed with it.
