I think "fat and chubby" is going to be more the job of the pickups and amp. But, a .047mfd cap is supposed to give more bass than a .022mfd. I just put .022's in my Tele, but he didn't use Spraque Orange caps.

Assuming that we're all on the same page about the "fat chubby big Fender sound", I'm agreeing with previous poster that you aren't going to find it in a capacitor.

That said, I used an orange Sprague 0.22 in my custom build with Dimarzio Area pickups. I like the lower value caps just because they change the tone plenty without going overboard.

That big fat sound's going come from either the amp or the pickups or both. Or the strap, if it's a thick leather one

I have Sprague in pretty much every guitar I use. You should notice that your pickups sound clearer than with stock caps.

Keep in mind that caps act as a filter to your highs. When you roll off the tone knob it cuts highs, but no bass tones get "added" as a result. That's why I'm not such a big fan of using a tone knob all that much. If I'm really looking for a big bass sound, I just use a good neck pickup for that. It's a much more colorful sound to me than rolled off highs from a bridge pickup. If I do feel like I just want to cut some of the bite out of a bridge pickup for whatever reason, I may roll the tone knob back about 1 or 2 notches with a .022pf cap. Still rare for me to do that. If my pickups are balanced with each other good enough, I won't use the tone knob at all.

I haven't used a no-load pot in a SSS Strat yet. I still plan on trying that someday just out of curiosity. It cuts the use of the cap out altogether at 10 and uses the full load of the Volume pot.
