I bought a brand new Fender Marauder for $336. Has anybody bought a brand new Fender for a lower price than this? If so, how long ago was it? If I'm not mistaken, the prices of '50s guitars was higher than this.

Guitars made in China should be cheap. No one would buy them if they weren't.

well fender starcasters are about 150 bucks and come with and amp.

i believe the the average strat was around 100 dollars back in the late 50s in 2011 100 dollars is the same as 820 dollars so inflation wise fender strats are about the same price.

I would have happily paid more for my Marauder, Chinese made or not. It's that good.
