Hi guys!
I have a fender MIM strat that I bought not so long ago. I wanted to put in the vintage noiseless pickups and the clapton mid boost so that I would sound a little bit more like clapton.
Anyways, have anyone tried or been successful with putting in both the vintage noiseless pickups and the clapton mid boost in their strat by themselves? Or do I have to visit the luthier.
Thanks a lot! and please excuse my english if its not good english wasn't my first language :)

Well, exchanging the pickups is no big deal, but you need extra space for the mid boost platine and a battery compartment. That's quite some extra body work under the pickguard and in the rear trem compartment.
I'd go and see a luthier, unless you have a routing table with routing machine.

The Eric Clapton mid boost kit is $60.00 on Ebay. The body routing on a MIM Strat body looks the same as an Eric Clapton Strat Body. I just installed EMG- SA kit into my MIA Strat and I had no problem with the Battery. The instructions said to wrap the battery in foam padding (supplied with pickups) to keep battery secured under the pick gaurdHere is a picture of a midboost circuit board installed in the guitar body. The battery wrapped in foam would lay on top pf the midboost circuit...http://areyouexperienced.net/images/bud ...
