Hi all, this neck I got has a serial number that puts it around 1995-96, but until someone put on Sperzles, the imprints suggest that it had the diamond shaped "f" tuners. The frets are super thin, so unless it is because they are worn, I am thinking that it might be some kind of reissue? Any comments would be appreciated!

Here are the pics:

Hi tposadovsky,

Looks like a "Squier Series" that is missing the small decal on the end of the headstock. The rectangular shaped tuners were likely the Squier tuners and not the "F" tuners. It appears that the tuner post holes were enlarged for the new tuners.

It is a 1996 Made in Mexico Neck. The M stands for Mexico. The N stands for Nineties and the 6 stands for 6 as in 1996. It does not appear to be a Squier. The Fender decal is too large. Squiers were not being made in Mexico in 1996 anyhow.

There were some made like this in Mexico in the mid-90s, with a Fender decal of all black lettering in the regular place, and a small "Squier Series" decal at the end of the headstock. There were also some of these same guitars "Made In USA" in the early-90s. There may have been some that didn't have the "Squier Series" decal, but many were removed by the owners.

This one, around 1994, has the original tuners.

Another one with original tuners, around 1995.

Definitely not a reissue. Don't think I've ever seen a reissue with a solid black "Fender" logo.
