I'm looking to replace the vintage style saddles due to my playing style. Looking to replace them with a flatter saddle for easier "hand docking". However I'm not sure which size saddles to replace them with. I've seen 2 1/16" and 2 3/16" options available. To maintain my setup I want the correct size. I haven't been able to find this specification online or in my manuel. I have a 2008 american std strat. I know that you can simply measure the string spacing at the bridge (but do you measure from the outside of the strings, or inside?, etc). Was wondering if anyone had some insight into this?

Thanks

So you just want to replace the newer bent steel saddles with the old school American Standard block saddles? I thought they only came in one size (unless you are looking at non-Fender replacements).

Expect a considerable change in tone with Graphtech. Not sayin' if it's good or bad, but there is a change with their saddles.

The measurement should be from center to center (E - to - E).
