Maybe someone can clue me in here on this case. It looks like it's a 1964,65 but I never seen one of that vintage with a blue interior lining. My guess is that someone replaced the lining sometime later. Any thoughts?

I think it might be a beat reissue type. They never had blue lining, but it could be they redid the interior, but didn't see any markings from a Fender Logo (either screw holes or a faded area where it was) so I would lean towards a beat reissue.

Maybe someone else will come along with something more definitive.

In the early 1980s Fender had some cases with blue inside. This one is so much falling apart it is hard to tell if it is a recover job or original. Seems like there should be a place there name "Fender" used to be riveted to the case too.

I am kinda late to reply to this thread but I had a 63 Strat with a case with a blue liner. It was in such bad shape that I re-vinyled the case but the blue liner was still OK. Currently there is a 63 Strat for sale in Canada by the original owner and the case and blue liner is exactly as mine was.
