That's a great upgrade Chet the black plastic really sets off the Seafoam Green, you have a good eye for colour schemes.

Thanks, I thought so too. Not quite done with it, but I'll keep the rest secret until it's done.

I think it looks cool both ways. I guess personally I always associate that color with the 50s; like that surf green and white combo belongs on a '57 Corvette or something, but it's nice to see something a little different. I do, however, think the black pickguard looks best with the CBS-era "big" headstock + decal. But either way I think you have a sweet-looking guitar man!

I like it in white also. I have a MIM surf green 50s Strat. It has the white single ply pick guard. Everything on it is pretty 50s reissue-like except for the five way selector should be a three way selector. Mine has a very sweet tone. I like the pickups it came with. When people see it, I get compliments on it, even without them hearing it plugged in!

OK. Since all my guitars that have truss rod covers get a special trc with feathers on it I had to do something with this Strat.

So here it is:

I think it looks kinda cool but I personally would prefer white to go with the maple board.
Cool idea though. :)

Killer mod, best thing about it is it looks like your guitar and in the end thats all that matters.
