For Christmas I got myself one of the Limited Edition American Standard Strats in Surf Green. For some reason it was just not right to me. After looking at it for a little over a month I figured out what it needed.

I love black on guitars--Fenders often look better with black plastic, and so do Les Pauls...

I remember my old drummers dad had one like that it was a 70s strat
robin egg blue black plastic just like that.

+1 for white for on the surf green guitar. Now if that was a red strat, black would be a good choice.

If you had some free time try it with white pickguard with black covers and nobs....I perfer contrast instead of white on white or black on black.....that's my 2 cents....Nice guitar anyway...
