Just Bought a new HSS American Deluxe, Amber with a rosewood fretboard, got to say, one of the finest guitars I've ever played, and I've owned a lot of quality vintage guitars.... it just grabs ahold of me! I can't put it down! Ive had it 2 months and have missed6 days of work just to stay home and play it! Running through a Blonde Supersonic 60, really a great combo! Would like to hear feed back on the amp and the axe... I think Fender really hit it out of the park on these!

yep.....I love mine!!
I have a 2002 Am. Dlx. Fat Strat (that's what they used to call them back then!)
I bought her brand new and have made slight changes over the years.
I put an aged chrome covered DiMarzio 36th Anniv. P.A.F. in the bridge along with Graphtech String Saver saddles.

it is a very comfortable, wonderful sounding instrument!

Ooooh, must be nice ! :)
I keep threatening to do that, too, but I need the bread.
Nice axe! Glad you're enjoying it.

I love mine. The LSR nut is amazing, this guitar never goes out of tune. Ok, once in a while. The compound radius neck is great. I know a lot of guys seem to complain about the N3 pups, but I get great sounds out of them. Everytime I play with someone they comment on how good my Strat sounds. My teacher who is an LP guy at heart says my Strat gets great tone. Plus, it looks killer:

My number 1.
There are times when I temporarily play other guitars more often but whenever I come back to this guitar I remember why it's my number 1.

How do you like your Riveras, and how do they compare to Fender amps?

That's only one Rivera amp. It's a Fandango 112 combo on top of a 112 ext cab. It's not as bright as most Fender amps on the very very high end of things but it has at least as much chime as any Fender I've ever owned and also has a huge set of balls down low. Much bigger than most Fenders except maybe a VibroKing. The most interesting feature is the "Focus" control. I have no idea what it does as far as how it affects the ciruitry but it is a very useful dial. It does very little to the EQ but it does affect how the amp responds to the guitar. The EQ controls are all interactive so it takes a little while to understand how to set it up. It's a great amp and I love it lots.

Fandango

Beautiful guitar. I'm working on getting myself an AM DELUXE SSS in Ash (Just for the added wood grain aesthetics). They do have a nice feel to them. Anyone have any experience with the ash model? There is supposed to be a sonic difference between alder and ash but put me in blindfolds and I they both sound the same to me.
