Hello, today I went to a house of music. I bought a stratocaster lever to 60 pesos (15 dollars or less). How if the lever is original or whether it is trout?

Excuse my English, I am using the translator.

Hi Felipe220597,

Maybe something is lost in translation? It is impossible to say whether or not the "lever" (trem arm) is original. The only concern is the thread size, and if it fits, it's good. There are two different thread sizes for the Mexican and American trem arms. The American is "10-32" and the Mexican has metric threads.

There is a Spanish section of the forum, if this helps. :)

Sds.

joaquin.moreno,

When you say 'bailar adentro', is that a way of saying that the threads of the block don't match the threads of the trem arm? Is he saying that the trem arm feels loose until screwed all of the way in? Which model does he have? Sorry for the questions, my Spanish isn't that great. Maybe you could explain the differences in thread sizes of Mex (metric) vs Am (10-32) vs others, so he can get the right arm in the future depending on the model of Strat. I like the teflon tape suggestion, but only if the threads match already. Some models do come with a spring for the trem arm hole, and it often gets lost when the trem arm is removed as most people don't even realize that it was there. He didn't say what make that he has (Am Std, or just Std which is Mex).

He bought the trem bar for aria bridge thats not an original fender part. The springs in south america never come with the guitar ( i guess logistic problems jajaj ).
He says it fits and doesnt wiggle once its screwed. The difference between american and mexican is between metric ( cm ) and inches ( Inch " )

Felipe que modelo de stratocaster tenes ? ( felipe could you please tell us the model of your strat ? )

Thankz shimmilou for your help , BTW your spanish is really good.

OK, thank you. I don't know about the Aria bridge. If that is not a Fender bridge, then the model wouldn't matter. I took it that the bridge was stock Fender, that's why the model question.
