I don't think so!
There are quite some useful posts regarding the original question.

Disregard the few posts which are off topic.

You seem to be very knowledgeable smokin'....but I've seen no other posts by the OP so I don't know what's going on with that....I always learn from these types of threads, this one especially since my first Strat was a '65 Sonic Blue.
I've also been a collector of other things and it seems the info provided by experts only further educates the fakers,so it's a two edged sword, knowledge is the key to keep from getting burned by those types,it's sad that they take so many other's money, but hopefully interested potential buyers will glean info from similar threads also.
So yeah,I agree, there's been some useful posts here.

Wish I knew enough to add to the paint job conversation. I appreciate all of the comments concerning the topic. It's why I come onto this board. To learn.

Also, I don't believe russ's signature line is against the rules of the board. The rules concern saying things that would down another religion or down a person for believing something else. The reason he would feel good to be kicked off a board for it is that being thrown out of a place for acknowleding one's beliefs and not backing down would cause a sense of pride. I'm sure everyone gets that. Is this the place for a religeous debate? Nope! But to state something about one's beliefs that doesn't hurt anyone else in a signature line isn't a offense either.

Now, the earlier post about all of us sitting around with our thumbs in our bum, that was a bit of a trolly post.

I feel like a moderator with no powers.

Thank you :)
Some things I know ......... but there's way more I don't know, ha ha ha

I agree about hints for fakers but let's face it: it's much more complicated for THEM to do things right by using our hints, than it is for the others who just have to JUDGE what is offered for sale.

It makes it much harder for fakers to sell their stuff.

Been an interesting thread ... aside from some pointless bickering - things could be worse we could be Syrian.

Call me dyslexic but "I believe in dog, but dog no longer believes in me" with apologies to Wayne Hussey.
