I have a chance to pick this up in a trade for some gear I don't use...my question is...is it worth the work to repaint? What about monetary value on these?

I think you made out pretty darn good. I'd say strip that oil paint off and keep her the pink. I've never seen a bridge like that. A guitars worth is subjectable, meaning it's only worth what someone would pay. They had a good price on it for about $400. Either, play her hard!
