I bought a second-hand stratocaster usa sunburst
The man who sold the guitar said the production date as 1979 but I am not sure about this and ı would like to learn my stratocaster's body's production date because he bought second-hand too.

hi and welcome to the forums , you'r links aren't working , the easiest way to do it is to open a photo bucket account (free ) and use that , also some pics of the neck end and the neck pocket , also the S/Number should get you a good ball park date , cheers

The neck was built in Oct. or later on a Friday in 1979.
Body was built on a Thursday in 1981.
Problem is both stamps aren´t complete.
Body stamp - 1st digit missing
Neck stamp - 1st and 2nd digit missing/unreadable.

Thanks for your message.
There are 3 stamps on body; FRR 30 , FRR 32 and the other stamp ( I can't decipher) can be FRR 40 or 42. But I guess it's FRR 42.

the FRR stamps are check and test stamps only.

The body date is the x112 stamp
x1-week
1 - 1981
2 - Tuesday(2nd day of the week)
Because x is missing I can´t make out the week, so I can´t say the month and date.

The neck date is the 4x95
4x - week
9 - 1979
5 - Friday (5th day of the week)
