Hank Marvin is a legend in Strat circles and is singlehandedly responsible for a lot of famous Strat player's decisions that the Strat was the "must have" Guitar for them. Mark Knopfler had to have a red one and David Gilmour said he had to have a Strat because Hank Marvin made it sound so good.

Hank Marvin is one of Michael Schenkers idols also.
It´s a red guitar turning into pink one day (maybe) so it´s more a love or hate thing for the most players, I guess.
