OK any help here to find replacement keys for my G&G case?
I've tried ebay with no success, found out that G&G guys sells replacement locks & keys but ship only to USA, so before I contact them is there some place from where I can order those keys?
:(

Thanks.

I've always heard it was best to NOT lock your case for just this reason. On my cases I've had over the years, I too never had the keys. I talked to my guitar mentor about this and he advised me never to lock the case because you may lose the key. Don't worry unless you've locked the guitar in.

Nah I haven't locked it, never locked the case TBH.
I wanted to get the keys just for the children and alike :) .

Surely there must be some place where one can buy them?
More so because they are all the same for all cases (G&G).

Never understood the point of locking a case. Isnt it easier to steal a guitar with the case than the guitar alone??? Like those locks are sooo hard to pick anyway...

You'll get the point when children tries to launch arrows from strings or execute some Townshend trick or two on yer axe :P .

These locks are made just for that and similar purposes, that "friendlies" can't mess up your guitar, no one seriously can think that they put them to detract the robbers.
Heck even all locks are the same, but that's probably because of airports/customs etc. (so they can check it anytime with/without your presence using default keys and not break the guitar and case with saw/axe/else in order to check what's inside - G&G case in question doesn't have sturdy locks/built but some cases are pretty sturdy).

When i bought my strat the case came locked and i couldnt open it. When i contacted the store they informed me that the case came with no key. Seeing how they were no help i decided to fool around with the locks and i found that by using my finger nail i was able to line up the lock like the key did. Only problem is i could only do this with one so i had to pry open the case with a hammer. When i opened the case i opened the small compartment and along with the case candy i found on small case key.

I agree. I've always had excellent, even surprising, results from contacting manufacturers when I'm stuck.

Guitar case locks are pretty generic. Most keys will fit most cases. If you have a key to another guitar case try it, it should work.

Dkoor, go to see a locksmith with your case . I heard they could have a generic luggage key that will fit

You can even open it with an unbent paperclip making a small hook at one end.
Done that before..

Thanks for suggestions guys. I was hoping to find spare (replacement) keys and buy those just in case I ever need to lock my case. It is, of course, unlocked now.
I will search some more and if I don't find anything (ebay etc.) I will contact the manufacturer, on their pages they sell replacement keys with locks together so I may go for that option if they are willing to ship in Europe.

Regards,

I am sure that if you buy a guitar in a good store, they will have replacement keys for you.

Cheers

David
