i just purchased a 92 MIM Strat...serial number is MN2059XXX....i think i got that much,

My concern is that both of the middle screw holes on the trem plate are directly across from each other and not staggered....

i Have read other posts of people that have the same thing....and others have said that all Fender Strat trem plates have staggered middle screws....who is right?

(Update: i have been looking around and every 92 MIM Strat i see on Ebay and other places that are not re issues and specials, all have trem plate center screws that are direct across from each other.....so i am starting to believe the staggered screws only on Strats is a myth......)

the body is a three color sunburst....no special markings in the neck plate...body is solid and not plywood....looks like an alder body....neck does have a sticker numbered 1 thru 7 each with a black line and with some scribbling on it but no date stamp.....

pick guard has 11 screw holes....

one thing that is missing on the body is that there is no hole by the lower horn for the CNC router guide and its not a swimming pool route under the pick guard....it looks like there possibly could have been a smaller hole but not dime sized....

the last thing is that the neck pocket has a pink round dime sized sticker in it that has the number 630 on it.....it also has 4 holes for the neck screws and it has one right in the center too... could this body be a squire??? and possibly a re fin.....

any feedback would be appreciated...
