To Rock star (Bill) or whatever you name is. I have told them what I want, not that it is any of your business. You have no idea whats going on, or what I was told. This is the third guitar that has had problems. I have sent them pictures and they agreed they should not have left the factory in that condition. So in my opinion this is not an isolated insident. Maybe you drop your guitars junior, but I can assure you I don't and never have. Congrats hot shot. You got two good guitars maybe you should find a mirror so you can stare at yourself in all your glory or how about patting your own back.

You seem like the type of person that makes remarks about a someone you don't know without any facts. To me thats just ignorant. For you to comment on a situation you know nothing about really says alot. I did not buy a $300.00 guitar Billy Boy. I purchased a $1500.00 guitar with an MSRP of $2199.99. It's funny this is the first time I have had an issue with Fender and I have owned alot of them over the years.

I'm so crushed.

Good luck dealing with Fender. You certainly deserve anything you get.

A rule to live by. Never buy shoes or guitars without first trying them on. :P

Fender told me they had 5 people look the guitar over, then they and made adjustments to it without my knowledge or consent and there is a good chance "in my opinion" they may have caused the damage while they were making adjustments to the guitar, even though I was told they would not make any adjustments. Plus I was told the tremolo arm was taken out of the sealed bag and tested as well.

Then I receive a guitar that looks like someone slammed the tremolo into the body. The guitar has chipped paint at neck pocket and there are couple of air bubbles in the finish itself.

I want them to make it right and replace the guitar with a new brand new one. Once I sent the second guitar to Fender, the dealer was out of it and Fender was well aware of this.

Take your refund and buy one in person at a local shop. You get to inspect it and try it out first before you take it home, problem solved.

Slickwillie does not wish to be reimbursed (made whole) because of his dissatisfaction regarding his purchase from Fender. He wishes to be enriched by it. He comes by his name naturally.

Have no idea what 44james is trying to say. Are you trying to say I am benefiting from this in some way? Are you implying I am trying to pull some type of scam or something?

I have been more than willing to work with them. I have emailed them several times in an attempt to work out a solution we can both live with, and they have not even bothered to reply.

By the way that is not my name, and has NO connection to who I am as a person. All it is a screen name thats it!

It's just sad that people like you have to make everything personal.

Tell you what, I will change my screen name if stop attacking on a personal level. There is nothing personal about my situation that has anything to do with you.

Lets keep it civilized.

To bad some people have to take everything personally, because it is not personal to anyone but me.

They have a term for what I think you are implying and it's called slander.

You've been offered your money back but that is not acceptable to you. You want more.

Slickwillie is the screen name you assigned to yourself. It obviously has some connection to who you are as a person.

Lastly, if it is spoken it is slander. If it is written, it is libel. And the defense to both is the truth.

To 44james, I guess you did not understand me the first time.

IT IS JUST A SCREEN NAME AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHO I AM AS A PERSON.

IF YOU CONTINUE TO ATTACK ME AND MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT WHO I AM AS A PERSON, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE NEVER MEET ME AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME I WILL REPORT YOU TO THE ADMIN. YOU SHOULD READ THE USERS AGREEMENT BEFORE YOU MAKE STATMENTS ABOUT SOMEONE.

Willie, I saw the video
1 maybe 2 Knicks are noticeable.
I'm sure you've had perfect ones in the past, but wood is
susceptible to blemishes and small dents.
The neck pocket is a little off, maybe just needs to be reset.
Just my 2 cents.
But hey if your unhappy, really take the money and go to
A guitarcenter samash or best buy
I understand 1500 dollars is alot of coin to be dissatisfied

I gotta say man....if it were me, none of those little knicks or blemishes would deter me from keeping a guitar if I liked the way it played. Maybe it's just the pics you posted. I'm sure I could see them better if I had the guitar infront of me, but to me personally, it's a non-issue.

I have an AVRI '57 Strat that has alot worse blemishes than that. The paint has chipped off in several (and I mean 10-12 places) down to the wood. But it didn't come that way, it started happening within 6 months of owning the guitar. It's got a life time warranty and my dealer assured me we could get it replaced if I so desired, but I really like the guitar. So I kept it. I can deal with small chips in the paint. It doesn't effect the way it plays.

I don't mean any of this to sound demeaning, but in all honesty, in comparison to what you consider to be un-acceptable blemishes, every guitar that I own, Fenders and otherwise, have similar blemishes, and most of them have worse than any of the problems you posted. That includes a $1600 AVRI '57 Strat, a $2350 Custom Shop Time Machine '56 Strat, and a $2200 Gibson ES-335. They all have imperfections, to varying degrees. They certainly wouldn't pass your inspection. But that's up to you. All I ask of my instruments is that they're comfortable to play, get the job done functionally, and are capable of getting the sound I want. If you look for other things in a guitar, that's your business and I'm not judging you for it, just saying that those particular issues that you pointed out wouldn't bother me. To each their own though.

Again, as others have said, it's your money and if you're not happy with it, you should take the refund and go to a store and find a perfect one, if you can. If you go over an instrument with a fine toothed comb, you're probably gonna find imperfections of some sort on all of them. But by all means, if that's what you desire, you should take your refund and shop around. Good luck whatever you wind up doing.
