Question: the tremolo/bridge block on the MIM deluxe player's strat, Light zinc style or heavier steel?

The block on my 2010 MIM deluxe player strat was a full sized zinc block (changed to a Callaham steel block).

Good to know- thanks. Happy with the guitar? I'm thinking I want one- played one with a rosewood fretboard, and loved it. Thinking I'll look for one w/a maple board, and kinda foresaw changing to the Callahan block.

I really like the guitar. I have the blue trans with a maple neck. I did end up changing the pick-ups and pick guard (white pearl). I really like the neck - the satin finish and flatter radius feels really good to me. This was my first guitar purchase so it will always be special :)

I decided to splurge a bit and got some Fralin Hot Vintage with a baseplate on the bridge pickup. They sound fantastic! I decided on these mostly because I think the hybrid stagger on the pole pieces would work better than a vintage stagger with the flatter radius on the fingerboard. I used a aluminum shield under the pick guard and they are very quiet. My second choice was D. Allen hot vintage.
