the body pictured smelled like fresh paint.

the seller (tenstarguitars) refunded the money, and didn't want the body returned.
he was obviously very scared when I was speaking to him.

That body was shipped to someone who has Several fender guitars in the firestorm finish....... BIG MISTAKE!!!!

This confirmed fake firestorm body looks ALOT like that icestorm... or should I say unicorn, on xhefri's site.

The speckles in some of the closeups..is that a camera artifact or actual finish of the guitar?

there was spots of black in the finish.

It's easier to pass a fake if you take close up photos after it's been all scuffed up, and take pictures further away under fluorescent lights.

The colors were not even close.

The fake was more of a fire engine red.

Now compare this fake firestorm to xhefri's icestorm.

It's strange how tenstarguitars and Xhefri have both claimed to have gotten these at an estate sale. One of the guys even admitted to me that he knows the other.

Hmmmm?

It appears to be a big scam.

I feel bad for whoever paid $2400 for a fake strat ultra that was on ebay a few weeks ago. I have been printing the completed listings for some time now.

I hope some people comment on this thread.

This needs to stop.

Xhefri Had a picture of a real firestorm strat on his site.

It has been changed.

Now there is a picture of this obvious fake.

It looks just like this one that came from tenstarguitars that smelled like fresh paint

I'm not sure I am following this correctly. What is PPG?
I own both a Fender Strat Plus Deluxe & Fender Strat Plus Ultra, therefore my interest.

Trying to piece Greenhart's comments to relate to Xhefri's rebuild Plus Deluxe,
(if that’s what Greenhart is doing), is Greenhart claiming that Xhefir’s original Plus Deluxe
purchased December/January and featured within this February 2012 started thread . . . . .
is a fraud or fake or a problem Plus Deluxe :?: :?: :?:

==============================
I noticed the green stamp mark within Xhefir's neck cavity and NO green in Greenhart's pics.

Image

No green stamp on Greenhart’s pic.

Image

===============================
The following picture from Greenhart has some “spots” near the “jack plug”.
Does Xhefri’s have the same “spots”?

Image

Are there similar spots below on Xhefri’s guitar’s jack plug area?

================================
Notice the close up of the “distinct” backside line patterns on Greenback’s pictured Plus Deluxe.

Image

Are the same distinct backside line patterns apparent on Xhefri’s Plus Deluxe?

Now, if I am mistaken and barking up the wrong tree, PLMK.
I will delete or modify this post. Toppscore 8)

PPG stands for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. The paint division use to be called Ditzler. Unfortunately this fellow "Greenheart" was harassing via phone and email stating I am part of a counterfeiting ring making fake Firestorm and Icestorm guitars. he obtained my home phone by fraud and lies and He emailed me a while back and stated that the CIA, the FBI and Feds and the IRS, paypal investigation, eBay , Fender, better business bureau, district attorneys etc. were on this case and it was going to be blown wide open! Ummm…I blocked his emails.

Now he has started using the Forum to harass me. I am not sure if this guy is crazy or what but I have notified Brad that he is doing this. I have never sold a Firestorm on eBay not do I plan to sell my Icestorm. Like I do not have better things to do than to be in the business of making fake guitars, when this is a just a hobby and I have a demanding day job?? At this point I am just ignoring him.

Well. If I did a good job posting comparisons between your Plus Deluxe
and Greenhart's Plus Deluxe, obviously, they are not the same guitars . . . . .
. . . . . if, that is what Greenhart is after???

Xhefri. Are/were you aware of Greenhart's initial PPG issues?
Is PPG accused of making fake Strats? Is this in the news? Toppscore 8)

Yes Yes Yes. There are always a couple of JERKS. Everywhere.
I just ignore them and hit the "red button" and report each incident to Brad.

You are very much correct, that this is a hobby.
Some clowns think feel believe their opinions are fact and they "NEED to feel respected"
What a joke  No open-mindedness or inquiry or options of thought.
Not a real big problem, until the JERK begins to ruin threads.

Best to ignore and move on. Just like this person has "tainted" this thread.

There was never any harassing via phone and email. that is all fiction.

I have personally put my hands on over ten guitars in the firestorm finish, and taken several apart.

I own two.

I also have an original placard of the paint sample that was sent to a handfull of elite fender dealers in 1990. It was a custom order color.

I have brought my guitars to one of the worlds most renowned luthiers.... and he has never seen one.

These are very rare guitars.

All of the people that I have met at several different high-end guitar shops, have never seen one.

But I can tell that the one on this thread is a fake, from a thousand miles away.

Look at the red. It's not even close.

All of these guitars were individual works of art.
Each one is slightly different.

None of the real ones that I have seen look like the one pictured in this thread.
That is why I posted the picture of the body that still smelled like paint, and had a 1991 stamp in the neck pocket, between two real strats in the firestorm finish.

And that body that smelled like fresh paint looks exactly like the one pictured on this thread.
