Hello guys,

This is my first Fender, I bought used.

It's a Stratocaster. The serial numbers begins with N1 and the number is composed by 6 digits. the Fender site tells that the Fender was assembled in 1991 or 1992.

I don't know the model. In the hand it is written the serial number, "Fender Stratocaster" and "Made In Usa".

How can I know the model (Classic, Custom, Vintage, etc)? It's a black body with a white shield.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a 1991 American standard to me.

If it has locking tuners, a rollor nut, and no string tree it is probably a Strat Plus.

String tree is located on the front of the headstock. The high E and B string travel underneath it from the nut to the tuners. Most of the time it is a "T" shaped thing but I have seen round shaped ones. The LSR roller nut is made of metal and the strings rest on mini ballbearings. Look at the Jeff Beck signature model on the Fender site it comes with the LSR.

I would appreciate some help to identify my model. It's a 1991/1992 model, according to the serial number.

...Those aren't Am. Std. Saddles (unless they were changed).

Looks like a Mexican strat to me.....any chance of a pic of the headstock.

Its written Made in USA and the Serial Number match with the Fender FAQ. I will take some pictures from the headstock.

If it says made in USA, then there's no need for pics......It's probably just an Am. Std. with replacement saddles.

Looks like an American Standard which has been modded.
Probably a vintage reissue bridge and aged pickupcovers.
If it's got the swimming pool cavity underneath the pickguard the body is
USA Standard. The neck looks like a Standard.
