Hi,

I'm backing the question up. The serial number in question is

07104659

What I'm especially interested in, is where it's manufactured. The "Made In ..." sticker became teared off (easily) during daily use. Different sources say, the series is "Made in Korea", but I'm pretty sure to remember the sticker to say "Made In Mexico" when I bought the guitar new afew years ago. I'm keeping the guitar, I love it, any information would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!

Split personality or Doppelgänger ?
Sorry, couldn´t resist.

They were made in Korea by Cort. Great wood and good hardware, top quality electrics (CTS pots) but asian switch.
H-S-H routing, shielded (lacquer).

Cheers,
Robin

Any of them?

I don't care where they're manufactured (as long as ist isn't that pc-thingy concerning Cort's working facilities), but am I remembering the MIM-information that wrong?!
:?

In fact I got a Special Edition Lite Ash Telecaster Black (which indicates MIK on headstock's back) here from a friend, which I'm going to buy used from him. So I'm going to have "twins"...
:D

I have many personalities, each one with its own profile and ways of thinking BWAAHAHAHAHA!

no but seriously, mine has a 'Made in Korea' sticker on the back, it is a damn fine guitar and love it to bits, one of my best guitars and at £350 was an absolute steal. Mine came as a S-S-S configuration though, but ive swapped the bridge SC for a Hotrails (humbucker in a SC size pickup)

Don't suppose you know anymore? i.e what factory, my serial no. is 08020851. i know i bought it in '08 so that solves the mystery of the 1st 2 digits but what about the rest?

I did exactly the same thing...

Did you also - as I did - change the poti-knobs to chrome dome speeds?

Here´s a video from the Cort factory, showing their ability of making good guitars. Good craftmanship and not that many machines.
Drop them an EMail regarding the serial number and I am sure they will respond and maybe they can provide you with further info on your guitar.
